Notice of Village Trustee Open Seat
The Kekoskee Village Board is seeking a Village resident to fill a vacant Village Trustee seat with a term expiring in April 2027.
Responsibilities: The Village Board appoints Village Officer positions, manages Village affairs including property, finances, public services, and ensures public welfare. Trustees and the President set policy, approve budgets and payments, enact laws, enter contracts, and grant licenses.
Commitment: Trustees attend Monthly Village Board meetings. Additionally, trustees may convene to other Special Meetings and trainings throughout the year as needed. They may also attend community events as representatives of the Village.
Process: it has been determined that the vacant seat will be filled by appointment of the Village Board. Applicants should send a letter of interest and resume to the Village Clerk via mail or email by May 15, 2025 at 7:00 PM:

Candidates will be asked to make a short statement of interest to the Board at an Open Village Board meeting on May 20, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Final selection will be made at the June Board Meeting.
This is a nonpartisan position. Candidates must be a Village resident and eligible to vote in the Village to qualify.
