Sign in and pay any fees due at the shed window:  We collect some banned items for you like  TV's & electronics, Batteries, Tires, Appliances with Freon.  Our attendants can help you.  Small fees for some of these items.  We also charge a fee for items like couches, mattresses/box springs, carpet/padding. See our Fee Schedule under "Fees".

We have a contract with the Landfill that allows for no-cost recycling.  In fact, the more we can recycle, the more we SAVE because we're charged for non-recyclable waste over a certain tonnage.  Soooo, our refuse and recycling site is set up to help you recycle ALL of your:

GLASS (food-grade only, any color; should be rinsed)

PAPER (newspapers, window envelopes, junk mail, magazines, phone books, "clean" food boxes & CARDBOARD. Please flatten cardboard boxes

PLASTICS....YES!!  Every number from 1 to 7....except styrofoam!  Leave the caps on plastic drink bottles.

CANS (aluminum & steel; rinse), aluminum FOIL & BAKEWARE (rinse), AEROSOL cans (empty), WIRE COAT HANGERS

As noted in the graphic, plastic bags and film can also be recycled but not in our dumpsters. Use the boxes found at most grocery stores and some department stores to recycle this type of plastic. This flyer from the DNR does a good job of explaining.

All metal and other non-food/drink cans should be dumped in the walk-in dumpster.  The more weight kept out of the waste dumpsters, the better for the Village.

Clean Sweep is a program for recycling hazardous materials provided by Dodge County, usually every two years.

The prescription drug drop off box, located in the front lobby of the Mayville Police Department, is open to the public, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
